The Firm has been actively representing numerous foreign and local clients in connection with mining and natural resources related transactions, which representation has included overall structuring of the transactions, preparation of the required documentation, carrying out the necessary legal due diligence, incorporation of local subsidiaries and the procurement of local regulatory approvals.

We have also advised clients in connection with various important legal issues relating to the 2009 Mining Law and its implementing regulations.

Finally, due to the significant changes, brought about by the 2009 Mining Law and its implementing regulations, the Firm has been actively involved in restructuring existing mining projects so as to bring the same into compliance with the 2009 Mining Law and to take advantage of the opportunity for direct foreign ownership of mining projects which is now possible.
